Paper Airplanes

Some paper airplane designs. There are modified versions of plane designs taken from Alex's Paper Airplanes. Many thanks to him for posting the original designs for these planes.

Cobra Trifoil

This is a modified version of the Cobra. Changes from the original include: folding the plane into 1/6 ths (the final 2 steps, with 6 flat surfaces and 5 folds) rather than the standard 1/4 ths for most airplanes (where there exist 4 flat surfaces and 3 folds). I've found this greatly improves the stability and range of this plane. Another thing that helps is creating an aerofoil cavity using the hood of this plane, see detail below. It is best to throw this plane gently and with the nose facing slightly upwards.

Trapezium Aerofoil

This is a modified version of the Trapezium. Changes form the original include: slightly different folding of the triangular pyramid at the front, and a slightly different folding of the fins in the final step so as to create an aerofoil that help increase lift, stability, and range. This plane should be thrown very gently and either level or with the nose slightly downwards.
